2011, retro-reflective adhesive, about 50m² for the first version

ENGLISH Tiling made with retro-reflective white adhesive using the pattern of a Penrose paving (physicist and English mathematician born in 1931) constituting a 2D section of a space in 5 dimensions. The hypnotic effect of the geometric designs associated with the luminous effect of the material used gives an impression of perpetual motion, cubes seeming to turn on themselves. Concerning this pattern, a mathematician spoke of "shadow of the fifth dimension”.

FRANÇAIS Pavage en adhésif blanc rétro-réfléchissant reprenant le motif d’un pavage de Penrose (physicien et mathématicien anglais né en 1931) constituant une coupe en 2D d’un espace en 5 dimensions. L’effet hypnotique des dessins géométriques associés à l’effet lumineux du matériau utilisé donne une impression de mouvement perpétuel, de cubes tournant sur eux-mêmes. Concernant ce motif, un mathématicien a parlé d’ « ombre de la cinquième dimension ».
